Words of Encouragement: "For the kingdom of God is not in word,
but in power."
(1 Corinthians 4:20)
Walking in kingdom authority and power requires that we have the revelation of what the "kingdom" truly is. The kingdom of God denotes a realm of "sovereignty, royal power, dominion, and the reign of God." This means the "kingdom" of God is the sphere in which, at any given time, His rule is acknowledged. God has not relinquished His sovereignty in the face of rebellion, human sin, or demonic oppression and interference. God reigns over the heavens and the earth and there is nothing beyond his dominion or authority. As marketplace Christians, we must be "people of the spirit" who walk with the King of kings. Wherever God's kingdom is present, His glory and power will be
revealed. In our daily lives, we must remember that the kingdom of God is in the heart of the believer and that we are to "walk in the spirit" as bearers of Christ's image. In this way, people will see evidence and sense the reality of the great kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and desire to know Him.
Our Prayer:
Lord, we desire to walk as Your precious Son, Jesus did while here on earth. Holy Spirit, may we walk in Your power and covering, and then unselfishly bring Your manifest presence to our places of employment,
communities, and throughout the world. Let it be in a way that is pleasing to You and brings You glory in all that we do. In Jesus' name, Amen.
