Welcome to Anointed For Business!

This business web site is being used as a resource center to equip and strengthen God's representatives in their
daily work in the marketplace.  We trust these tools will encourage Christians and business leaders to advance the kingdom of God and take dominion in their spheres of influence through marketplace ministry.

The web site will also be utilized as a communications center for the "Anointed For Business" class sponsored by The House of the Lord Ambassadors of Christ Missions MinistryEach year, we pray to discern the "pulse of the Lord" in terms of His desire to educate and mobilize our congregation in missions and in the priority of sharing the gospel.  This year, we felt led by the Holy Spirit to facilitate "Anointed For Business."

This Marketplace Ministry class will be based on the book, Anointed For Business: How Christians Can Use Their Influence in the Marketplace to Change the World by Ed Silvoso.  If you already have the book, you may use either edition of it. Join in the adventure . . . your view of the workplace will never be the same!

   Words of Encouragement:
"For the kingdom of God is not in word,
but in power."
(1 Corinthians 4:20)

Walking in kingdom authority and power requires that we have the revelation of what the "kingdom" truly is.  The kingdom of God denotes a realm of "sovereignty, royal power, dominion, and the reign of God."  This means the "kingdom" of God is the sphere in which, at any given time, His rule is acknowledged. God has not relinquished His sovereignty in the face of rebellion, human sin, or demonic oppression and interference.  God reigns over the heavens and the earth and there is nothing beyond his dominion or authority.  As marketplace Christians, we must be "people of the spirit" who walk with the King of kings. Wherever God's kingdom is present, His glory and power will be
revealed.  In our daily lives, we must remember that the kingdom of God is in the heart of the believer and that we are to "walk in the spirit" as bearers of Christ's image.  In this way, people will see evidence and sense the reality of the great kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and desire to know Him.

Our Prayer
Lord, we desire to walk as Your precious Son, Jesus did while here on earth.  Holy Spirit, may we walk in Your power and covering, and then unselfishly bring Your manifest presence to our places of employment,
communities, and throughout the world.  Let it be in a way that is pleasing to You and brings You glory in all that we do.  In Jesus' name, Amen.
What Does the Word Anointed Really Mean?

The word "anoint" means to rub or smear something or someone with oil that symbolizes the Holy Spirit.  Pouring, rubbing, or smearing something with oil was the biblical way to indicate that a person, item, or place had been set aside for divine use or for God's service.

In Biblical days, when a person was anointed, a large amount of oil (usually in a flask) was poured on the head to symbolize that the totality of the person was set apart or being consecrated.

Therefore, to be "anointed for business" is to be set aside by God for service in the marketplace.  Once anointed, we are to use our job as a ministry vehicle to transform the marketplace so that the gospel will be preached to, and heard by, every creature in our sphere of influence.

There is truly a divine anointing for business, that God gives His people, for His purposes, where we are empowered to  transact and broker "kingdom business" in the power of the Holy Spirit.
